Working with us from Europe
The four things buyers ask a Chinese shop
Drawings, communication, shipping and what happens when something is wrong.
Here is how each one works, before you ask.
Your drawings stay in the shop
Files are used to quote and make your parts, nothing else. They are not shared with other suppliers or posted anywhere. We sign your NDA before you send anything, or send ours. Personal data is handled under our GDPR-aligned privacy notice.
English, during your working day
Eileen and Bill handle every job from first email to shipment. We are at our desks seven days a week until 15:00 CET (16:00 CEST), so a question sent before mid-afternoon is answered the same day. Enquiries in German are welcome; we reply in English.
Door-to-door, duty paid
Express by DHL, FedEx or UPS to your dock. DDP is available — we pay import duty and VAT up front and put one number on the invoice, so you need no EORI or customs broker. Prefer to reclaim import VAT yourself? Ask for DAP and clear with your own EORI.
If a part is wrong, we fix it
Every first article is measured on the CMM before the run starts. If a toleranced feature is out on delivery, tell us within 14 days and we remake or credit it. We would rather lose the margin than the customer.
Capabilities
Milling, turning and sinker EDM under one roof
GY makes custom CNC machined parts in aluminium, brass, stainless steel, copper and steel, and in engineering plastics such as Delrin (POM), Nylon and PEEK, for customers worldwide from our own facility in Dongguan City. Milling, turning and sinker EDM run on machines we own, operated by people on our payroll. Wire EDM, sheet metal and surface finishing beyond tumbling are done by partner plants we manage, and the parts come back to us for inspection before they ship.

Milling
Housings, brackets, manifolds and plates on 3- and 4-axis machining centres. Nineteen of the 32 centres are 4-axis, so multi-face parts stay in one setup and position tolerances hold between features.
- Achievable tolerance±0.002 mm
- Envelope, approx.800 × 600 × 500 mm
- Axes3 / 4 — no 5-axis
- Machines32

Turning
Shafts, bushings, pins, fittings and threaded parts on 18 CNC lathes — ten of them Swiss-type sliding-head machines with sub-spindles for Ø1–25 mm bar. Turned parts that need cross-holes or flats go straight to a milling setup in the same building.
- FitsISO 286 IT6 – IT8, gauged
- ThreadsM, MF, G (BSP), UN on request
- Max. diameterØ 250 mm
- Machines18 (10 Swiss-type)

Sinker & wire EDM
Six sinker EDMs in our own shop for sharp internal corners, hardened tool steel and features a cutter cannot reach; electrodes are made in-house. Wire EDM — slow, medium and fast wire — runs at a partner plant we have used for years.
- Sinker EDM6 machines, in-house
- Wire EDMPartner plant
- Typical useHardened steel to 60 HRC, punches, dies, keyways
Through long-term partner plants: wire EDM, sheet metal (laser cutting, punching, bending, welding) for enclosures and chassis.
Arranged and inspected by us: anodising (clear, coloured, hard), black oxide, zinc / nickel / chrome plating, passivation, bead blasting, powder coating, laser marking.

Industries
Where our parts end up
Machine building
Fixtures, adapter plates, guide blocks and frame components in S355, 42CrMo4 and EN AW-6082 — single pieces and small series.
Automation & robotics
Grippers, linkages, mounting plates and actuator housings — usually aluminium, usually in a hurry.
Medical & laboratory equipment
Instrument components and enclosures in 1.4301 / 1.4404, titanium and PEEK, with dimensional reports.
Electronics & enclosures
Milled aluminium front panels, heat sinks and housings, anodised or powder-coated, plus punched and formed sheet-metal chassis.
Materials
EN and DIN grades, by material number
These run regularly. Call out the material number or the EN designation on the drawing and we quote exactly that; EN 10204 3.1 certificates with batch or heat number on request. If a grade is not listed, ask — that is not a no.

Material sourcing
We buy to your specification from stockists with mill certificates. If you would rather supply the material yourself, or need a specific European mill, note it on the enquiry.
Quality
First article on the CMM, before the run continues
- Every job — the first piece is measured on a coordinate measuring machine against the drawing before production starts.
- Dimensional report as a PDF with the shipment, on request — nominal, tolerance and measured value for each feature.
- Standards — ISO 2768-mK general tolerances unless your title block says otherwise; ISO 1101 geometric tolerances as drawn; surface roughness Ra in µm.
- Fits — ISO 286 fits gauged or measured, IT6 to IT8.
- Material certificates — EN 10204 3.1 supplied when ordered.
What we do not claim
We are not ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 certified, and we do not produce PPAP or EMPB documentation to VDA Volume 2. If your supplier approval requires any of those, we are the wrong shop, and we would rather say so here than after you have sent a drawing.
What you get instead is a first-article report on every job and a phone call if anything is out.

What the report looks like
Sample first-article inspection report
One page per part: nominal, tolerance, measured value and deviation for every toleranced feature, geometric tolerances per ISO 1101, thread and surface-finish checks, and who inspected, reviewed and released it. Millimetres as drawn.
Sample document with illustrative values — your report carries your part number and your drawing's tolerances.
Who you deal with
Three people, start to finish
No account managers, no ticket numbers. The owner, the engineer and your coordinator quote your part, follow it through the shop and ship it.

Runs the shop and has the final say on every quote, schedule and delivery commitment we make.

Your first and last contact. Quotes, schedules, shipping paperwork and every email in between.

Reads your drawing before a price goes out. Flags features that will cost more than they need to.
On the floor
Recent work
We do not publish customer parts or drawings. Every customer signs an NDA with us, and yours will be treated the same way. What you see on this page are sample parts from our own shop, our own floor and measuring room, and process illustrations — never a customer's job.

By the numbers
Figures from our own records. We do not name customers — each one is under NDA.
Send the drawing. You will have a price and a lead time in 16 hours.

FAQ
Questions European customers ask first
Do you work to EN and DIN drawings?
Yes. Metric is our native unit. Send the drawing as drawn — ISO 2768 general tolerances, ISO 1101 geometric tolerances, ISO 286 fits, Ra in µm — and we program and inspect against it. Material numbers (Werkstoffnummern) are fine; we cross-reference them on the quote.
Is there a minimum order?
No. One piece is fine. Setup is spread over the quantity, so unit price falls as quantity rises, and we show you that on the quote.
How do import duty, VAT and customs work?
Two options. DDP: we pay the duty and import VAT and deliver to your door for one all-in price; you need no EORI number or broker. DAP: we deliver to your address and you clear customs with your own EORI, pay duty and reclaim import VAT as usual. Machined parts typically fall under HS 8466 / 7326 / 7616 with duties of 0–2.7 %; we state the HS code on every commercial invoice.
How long does it take?
Typically 10–15 working days in the shop plus 3–6 days by express to most EU addresses. The quote states a firm lead time and it starts when the order and drawing are confirmed. We tell you early if anything slips. Larger batches can go by air freight or sea, quoted separately.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer in EUR or USD. Typically a deposit with the order and the balance before shipment; terms are stated on the quotation. There is no EU VAT on our invoice — import VAT is handled at customs as described above.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, before you send drawings. Send yours or ask for ours. Our privacy notice sets out how enquiry data is stored and for how long.
Are you ISO 9001 certified?
No. What we do instead is measure the first article of every job on a coordinate measuring machine before the run continues, and send you the report as a PDF if you want it. If your supplier approval requires the certificate, we would rather tell you now than after the order.
Can you supply material certificates and RoHS / REACH statements?
EN 10204 3.1 certificates with batch or heat number on request — say so with the enquiry so we buy certified stock. RoHS and REACH declarations are provided on the basis of the mill certificate and the finishing process used.
Do you also do sheet metal?
Yes, through long-term partner plants: laser cutting, punching, forming and welding for enclosures, front panels, chassis and brackets that would be wasteful to machine from solid. The parts come back to us for inspection.
